BARBACK
Colts Neck Inn Steakhouse is seeking an experienced, dependable Barback to support our bartenders and help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bar. This position is ideal for someone who works with urgency, takes pride in organization, and thrives in a fast paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Support bartenders throughout service by maintaining a fully stocked and organized bar
- Provide attentive service to bar guests as needed while supporting the bartender
- Restock beer, liquor, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and bar supplies
- Change beer kegs safely and efficiently
- Wash, polish, and restock clean glassware throughout each shift
- Prepare garnishes and ensure they are fresh and readily available throughout service
- Remove empty bottles, glassware, and debris while maintaining a clean and organized bar
- Assist bartenders with beverage preparation when requested
- Deliver food to bar guests and assist with food running throughout the restaurant during busy service
- Replenish ice and maintain beverage stations
- Complete opening, closing, and side work duties
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation throughout the bar and service areas
- Support bartenders, servers, and management to ensure smooth and efficient service
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year restaurant experience as a Barback
- Prior in-house dining restaurant experience required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment with a strong sense of urgency
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including beer kegs, cases, and ice
- Ability to remain on your feet throughout the shift
- Reliable transportation
- Must be at least 18 years of age

BUSSER / FOOD RUNNER
The Server Assistant / Food Runner plays an essential role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by supporting both the front and back of house service team. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized dining room while ensuring food is delivered promptly, accurately, and professionally. The ideal candidate understands the importance of teamwork, urgency, attention to detail, proper table numbers, seat positions, and fine dining service standards in a fast paced, upscale restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food promptly from the kitchen to the correct table while maintaining plate presentation standards
- Understand and follow proper table numbers and seat positions when delivering food
- Assist servers by clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables efficiently
- Refill water glasses, replace silverware, and maintain guest ready tables throughout service
- Verify food orders for accuracy before delivering to guests
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked service stations
- Support servers and bartenders to ensure smooth, efficient service during busy shifts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining room and service areas
- Provide friendly, professional guest interaction while delivering food and assisting with service
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and restaurant service standards
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Server Assistant, Busser, or Food Runner in a restaurant environment required
- Fine dining or upscale casual restaurant experience preferred
- Strong understanding of table numbers, seating positions, plate presentation, and restaurant service flow
- Ability to multitask with a strong sense of urgency in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift and carry trays and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Must be at least 18 years of age
