Position Overview
MEP Builders, LLC is seeking a Finish Carpenter who brings exceptional skill, creativity, and dedication to their craft. In this role, you’ll be pivotal in executing high-quality carpentry work, contributing to renovations, custom projects, and bespoke designs. The ideal candidate thrives on teamwork, loves working with their hands, and takes pride in producing flawless, functional spaces.
This is a full-time position based in Loudoun County, VA, with occasional travel to surrounding areas for projects.
Key Responsibilities
Custom Woodworking:
- Frame, assemble, and install custom cabinetry, built-ins, trim, and decorative millwork.
- Create and install trim work -- crown molding, baseboards, doors, and wainscoting with precision.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure alignment with client expectations and company standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to all safety guidelines.
Adaptable Skillset:
- Assist with non-carpentry tasks as needed, such as minor concrete patching, window setting, or hardware installation.
- Perform repairs and refinishing for existing wood structures..
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5+ years in finish carpentry with a proven track record of high-quality work.
- Expertise in both rough and finish carpentry, with a focus on residential renovations.
- Proficient in using carpentry tools (e.g., saws, chisels, drills, laser levels).
- Strong understanding of framing, trim work, and custom wood finishes.
- Ability to adapt and contribute to non-carpentry tasks.
