Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate instructor to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background playing chess and in working with children to foster a supportive educational environment. This role involves providing the basics of the game of chess to students and guiding them as they learn to play against one another.
Responsibilities
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a focused and productive learning environment that allows all students in the classroom to grow their chess skills
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary to ensure understanding and retention of material.
- Foster a positive relationship with students to encourage their growth and self-esteem.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge and experience of playing chess
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching
- Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to engage students effectively.
- A passion for education and a commitment to helping students
