Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Large campus, walking required.
Facility still houses adults but only accepts children as new patients. May be exposed to unpredictable resident actions.
Job Summary:
The LPN provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or physician. The role includes monitoring patients, administering medications and treatments, maintaining accurate clinical records, and supporting patients with their daily healthcare needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic nursing care to patients according to established care plans.
- Monitor and document patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and health conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within scope of practice.
- Assist with wound care, dressings, injections, and other nursing procedures.
- Collect and document patient information accurately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, mobility, and nutrition.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the RN or healthcare provider.
- Maintain patient safety, infection-control, and hygiene standards.
- Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and basic healthcare needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Follow facility policies, HIPAA/privacy requirements, and applicable nursing regulations.
Qualifications:
- Current LPN/LVN license in the applicable state.
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Current CPR/BLS certification, as required.
- Previous clinical or healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to assist with patient transfers and mobility.
- Ability to lift or reposition patients as required by the role.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Shift Night
10:40 PM to 6:40 AM
Pay: Up to $36.00 per hour
