We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Rental Gear Associate to join our team. This role primarily focuses on the hands-on processing of firefighter personal protective equipment (PPE), including disassembling & reassembling gear, tagging it, inspecting it for damage, and documenting any required repairs.
This position is similar to a garment processing role, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, organization, and safety compliance. This role also requires driving for deliveries and gear pickups, so candidates must be comfortable on the road.
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble firefighter turnout gear for cleaning and detailed inspection
- Tag and track each item to ensure accurate identification
- Inspect gear for damage, wear, and safety concerns
- Document and report any repairs or issues clearly and accurately
- Reassemble and prepare gear for cleaning, storage, or return
- Assist with washing, drying, and processing PPE according to safety standards
- Deliver and pick up gear throughout the tri-county area
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
- Receiving rental returns in the back bay.
Delivery & Pickup Coordination:
- Deliver and pick up gear throughout the tri-county area, ensuring safe and timely transportation.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Inventory experience is a plus
- Comfortable with repetitive, hands-on work
Preference: Bilingual – English & Spanish
Work Schedule:
Monday – Thursday 9 AM – 5 PM
Friday – 8 AM – 4 PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour
