The East Bay Eclipse Soccer Club is seeking motivated, inspiring and dedicated leaders to fill open Assistant Coach positions for players ages 4-8 years old. All interested candidates should apply as soon as possible as positions will be filled on a rolling basis.
About East Bay Eclipse: The East Bay Eclipse Soccer Club is an independent, competitive youth soccer club, whose mission is to enable youth to reach their highest potential as players and as people in a positive and enjoyable environment. Eclipse achieves its mission through an innovative training program and club structure that allow youth to increase their skill, knowledge and enjoyment of the game, and avoid burnout and overuse injuries. A child’s healthy physical and emotional development always comes first.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a positive learning environment for players
- Work collaboratively with club directors and head coaches
- Provide guidance to youth players
- Run stations/activities, as requested by lead coach
- Assist with equipment set-up and clean-up
Commitment: The job of assistant coach primarily runs June through November; however, successful assistant coaches will also be asked to participate in our Winter Program and/or Spring Program. You should be able to attend practices 2-4 times per week in the Orinda area with the usual start time of 3:45pm.
Compensation: Compensation for assistant coaches is $22/hour. During the course of the season, there are also a wide variety of other opportunities to earn additional compensation through extra work.
Qualifications: Candidates should have experience in positive coaching at the youth club soccer level. New coaches with playing experience will also be considered. Candidates should have competent verbal and written communication skills.
