Affordable Housing Property Manager
Please do not apply if you have not been an actual property manager, or intake coordinator for subsidized housing. Experience doing IR's and Annual certs is a must.
Ideal candidate will possess:
- Knowledge of Section 8 PBV and HCV
- Knowledge of conducting eligibilities
- Knowledge of HOTMA
- EIV
- Experience with elderly and disabled residents
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Microsoft Office products-SharePoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Direct but patient demeanor
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow through
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and make sound, thoughtful decisions
- Ability to be flexible and prioritize tasks
- Experience in affordable subsidized housing
- Experience communication with residents and others on social, emotional, and mental health needs’ and then provide, develop, and aide them in accessing services to meet their needs – from outside community services as needed.
- Ability to remain within mandated guidelines and scope of service
Responsibilities included but are not limited to:
- Management of affordable subsidized housing
- Daily management of property
- Manage wait list applicants to improve vacancy rates.
- Maintaining vacancies and turn-over of units with less than 15 days to occupancy
- Ability to complete annual and interim recertification's in timely manner in accordance with HOTMA.
- Complete move in and move out inspections
- Send demand/ eviction notices
- Work with case managers/ community resources
- File documentation accurately in PHAweb
