QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma
-
A teacher must have completed his/her early childhood education classes with a passing grade.

A teacher must have at least 12 units and 6 months in a licensed childcare center or similar program.

A teacher may have only 6 units in early childhood education if the teacher is enrolled in at least 2 units each semester units all units complete.

One year experience working with special needs consumers
REPORTS To: Social Services Manager
JOB GOAL: To facilitate a classroom and supervise all activities in his/her classroom. To ensure all consumers are supervised and challenged to reach the consumers goals.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES: Must supervise his/her classroom and Teachers Aids
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be able to complete consumer reports.

Must be able to multitask

Maintain student records (data)

Ability to work with all consumers with all aspects of special needs

Must be able to sit, bend climb and life up to 50 lbs.

Must be a team player and able to perform duties outside of his/her job description as assigned.
