American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a travel nursing position at a 615-bed Level II Trauma acute care hospital in Florida, requiring ACLS/BLS certification and on-call availability.

Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting within a 615-bed short-term acute care hospital
-
Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma designated facility
-
Patient ratio of 1:4 on day shift
-
4x10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
-
Weekend work required (every other weekend)
-
On-call required approximately 10–12 days per month, including every other weekend
-
Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility while on call
-
Cerner EMR used; experience preferred
-
Procedures include cardiac catheterization, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, cardiac stent placement, and circulating procedures

Conscious sedation administration and monitoring required

Skills in Activated Clotting Time (ACT) and IV therapy required

Xper system experience preferred

Floating within the hospital may be required to meet facility needs

Block scheduling is not available

Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand (pending licenses not accepted)

Current ACLS and BLS certifications required

Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required

Conscious sedation and telemetry skills required

Date of birth (DOB) required for consideration

Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

First-time travelers may be considered if highly experienced
-
COVID-19 vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions are accepted

Candidates who were previously permanent employees at any BayCare facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before applying as a traveler

Return travelers must have completed a contract within the last year (since 7/1/2022); currently, return travelers are only being considered for ICU, MICU, CVICU, ED, PCU, and MS/Tele specialties — Cath Lab is not included

No RTO (time off requests) is permitted during the contract; any RTO must be approved directly by the manager and is not guaranteed

A pass/fail EKG exam is required (up to 3 attempts allowed)

Pre-start and annual online modules are required; hours vary by specialty
