About Lexson.ai
Lexson.ai is an AI-powered sales agency serving high-velocity sales teams across solar, real estate, insurance, and other outbound-driven industries. We build, deploy, and optimize conversational AI systems that book qualified appointments at scale — combining cutting-edge voice AI, intelligent SMS automation, and deep CRM integration to help our clients close more deals faster.
We’re a lean, fast-moving team that ships daily and holds a high bar for execution. If you thrive in high-autonomy environments where your work has immediate, measurable impact, this is the place.
The Role
We’re looking for a Voice AI Prompt Engineer & Automations Specialist to join the core team. This isn’t a siloed engineering role — you’ll be at the intersection of AI development, workflow automation, and client success. You’ll design and fine-tune voice agent prompts, build complex multi-step automations, and serve as a technical expert on client onboarding calls.
The right candidate is someone who lives inside GoHighLevel, can spin up a Make or n8n workflow in their sleep, and has hands-on experience deploying voice agents with Vapi, Retell, or equivalent platforms. You’re not just technical — you’re a communicator who can translate complex AI behavior into clear outcomes for clients.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and iterate on voice AI agent prompts for Vapi and Retell deployments to maximize appointment set rates, conversational quality, and compliance
- Build, maintain, and optimize automation workflows using Make (Integromat) and n8n, connecting voice agents, SMS systems, CRMs, and third-party tools into seamless pipelines
- Serve as a GoHighLevel (GHL) power user — configure CRM workflows, pipelines, triggers, custom fields, and reporting dashboards for client accounts
- Join client onboarding calls to walk through system architecture, set expectations, gather requirements, and ensure a smooth handoff from sales to delivery
- Manage ongoing client accounts: monitor campaign performance, troubleshoot issues, and proactively surface optimization opportunities
- Document processes, prompt libraries, and automation templates to build a scalable knowledge base as the team grows
- Stay current on AI voice agent developments, carrier compliance regulations, SMS deliverability best practices, and emerging automation tools
Requirements
Must-Haves
- Expert-level proficiency with GoHighLevel CRM — workflows, automations, pipelines, custom values, webhooks, and API integrations
- Demonstrated experience building production automations in Make (Integromat) and/or n8n, including error handling, conditional routing, and API modules
- Hands-on deployment experience with Vapi and/or Retell voice AI agents, including prompt engineering, call flow design, function calling, and telephony integration
- Strong understanding of conversational AI prompt design — system prompts, guardrails, persona engineering, objection handling, and context management
- Willingness and confidence to join live client onboarding calls, present technical solutions clearly, and manage customer relationships
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Self-starter mentality — you take ownership, solve problems independently, and move fast with minimal oversight
Strong Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with SMS compliance and carrier filtering rules (SHAFT, 10DLC registration, throughput management)
- Background in direct response copywriting or high-converting sales messaging
- Familiarity with Twilio, Telnyx, or Signalwire telephony APIs
- Experience with AI-powered SMS chatbot frameworks (Dialogflow CX, Botpress, Amazon Lex V2, Flowise, Rasa)
- Previous agency experience — especially serving solar, real estate, or insurance verticals
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, Python, or API integrations beyond no-code tools
Compensation & Growth
- Starting salary: $3,000 USD/month
- Fast-track promotion path for exceptional performers — salary increases, expanded scope, and leadership opportunities are awarded based on results, not tenure
- Fully remote with flexible scheduling (some overlap with North American business hours required for client calls)
- Direct access to the founder — your ideas shape the product and the company
- Opportunity to grow into a senior technical or team lead role as Lexson.ai scales
Who You’ll Thrive As
This role is built for someone who:
- Gets genuinely excited about AI agents, automation, and building systems that work without human babysitting
- Can context-switch between deep technical work and client-facing calls without breaking a sweat
- Treats deadlines like commitments, not suggestions
- Defaults to shipping — you’d rather push a working 80% solution today than a perfect one next month
- Wants to grow with a company, not just fill a seat
