Pay: $18-$35 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Schedule: Monday-Friday, typically 8:00 AM-4:30 PM, with occasional overtime, extended days, and evening/weekend on-call rotations based on customer needs. Busy seasons may require additional availability.

Family Air Experts is a growing, family-owned HVAC company based in Fort Pierce, FL, proudly serving homeowners and businesses across the Treasure Coast. We are looking for an HVAC Service Technician to join our team and help provide honest, high-quality service to our customers.
This role is primarily focused on HVAC service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, with occasional installation support as needed. The right candidate should be comfortable troubleshooting residential and light commercial systems, communicating clearly with customers, and representing our company with professionalism in the field.

About the Role
As an HVAC Service Technician, your typical day will include running service calls, diagnosing AC and heating issues, performing maintenance visits, completing repairs, communicating with dispatch and the office throughout the day, and helping customers understand their options. You may also assist with system installations, changeouts, duct modifications, or other field projects when needed.

What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, service, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Perform AC maintenance, tune-ups, inspections, and system cleanings
- Troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, airflow, thermostat, drainage, and mechanical issues
- Communicate findings clearly with customers and provide honest, helpful recommendations
- Keep customer satisfaction as the top priority on every call
- Complete work orders, notes, photos, and job details accurately in company software
- Communicate with dispatch and the office throughout the day regarding job status, schedule changes, customer needs, and follow-up items
- Maintain a clean, professional, and respectful presence in customers’ homes and businesses
- Assist with HVAC installations, changeouts, equipment replacements, and ductwork when needed
- Keep accurate inventory of parts, tools, and materials in your vehicle and at the shop
- Follow company procedures for safety, quality, communication, and customer experience
- Keep company tools, equipment, and vehicle organized and properly maintained
- Support a team-focused environment where everyone helps one another where needed
What We’re Looking For
- HVAC service, maintenance, repair, or installation experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills or a willingness to continue developing them
- Customer-first mindset with a strong commitment to providing a 5-star experience
- Comfortable speaking with customers and explaining repair options in a professional, no-pressure way
- Ability to work independently while staying connected with dispatch, office staff, and the rest of the team
- Strong communication skills with both customers and coworkers
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and pride in quality workmanship
- Comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, or field-service software for work orders and job notes
- Reliable, organized, and able to manage daily service calls efficiently
- Willingness to help with installations or other field work when needed
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- EPA certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days
- NATE certification is a plus, but not required
Nice to Have
- Experience with residential HVAC service and maintenance
- Experience with light commercial HVAC systems
- Experience with system changeouts and equipment replacements
- Familiarity with Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, or other major HVAC brands
- Experience with ductwork, airflow issues, drain line problems, thermostats, UV lights, and indoor air quality products
- Comfort discussing maintenance plans and replacement options when appropriate
- Experience using Sera or other field-service software

Requirements
- Must be able to work full-time
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must have reliable transportation to our Fort Pierce office/shop
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be available for extended days, overtime, and on-call rotations as needed
- Must be able to lift, carry, climb, work in attics, work outdoors, and perform physical HVAC field work
- Must be comfortable working in Florida heat and seasonal high-demand periods
