Job Overview
Looking to add a TX licensed engineer to our inspection engineering practice in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Looking for the right Texas-licensed PE to become an equity partner and eventually co-own the business.
This could be a strong fit for:
- an engineer burned out in corporate environment
- a PE who wants more income upside
- someone already running a small solo practice who wants a larger client base and would like to add services
- an experienced engineer who enjoys people as much as technical work
I’m specifically looking for an engineer who:
- enjoys working directly with clients
- is comfortable spending time in the field
- communicates well one-on-one
- has entrepreneurial interest and eventually wants ownership rather than just a paycheck
The practice is already established with:
- more work than we can handle
- existing systems and efficient processes
- very strong reputation and online presence
- immediate minority ownership opportunity
- significant growth potential
The work primarily involves evaluations of buildings and developing repair plans. Work is throughout the DFW area. The role is field-oriented and client-facing rather than desk/CAD-heavy.
Ideal background:
- Texas PE license required or ready to apply (comity with another state or passed exam)
- Civil or Structural background preferred, but not required
- Comfortable explaining technical issues to building owners and tradepersons
- Self-directed and practical
- Demonstrated ability in project management
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and technical writing
- Experience designing retaining walls is desirable, but not required
Confidential conversations are welcome.
Please send a short background summary, LinkedIn profile, CV, or resume.
