Overview:
Rayito de Sol is an Intercultural Early Learning Center offering an immersive cultural experience for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 6 years. Guided by experienced educators who bring their culture to life, our Spanish immersion program is designed to provide a rich, engaging, full-time Spanish language and cultural experience, fostering intercultural understanding and equipping young children with the skills they need to thrive in an interconnected world and become the leaders of tomorrow.
Rayito de Sol is looking for a passionate and committed bilingual (Spanish/English) professional to be a Teacher for Infant, Toddler and Preschool level classes. Potential candidates must be organized, detail-orientated, self-motivated, reliable, and able to lead in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a student’s general comprehension and understanding of the Spanish language and Latino culture as well as teaching general age-appropriate concepts and skills in an environment that is nurturing, safe, and respectful.
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Foster social and emotional development by promoting positive interactions and conflict resolution.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to families.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones.
Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential minimum requirement.
- Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field with six (6) credits in ECE preferred.
- Must be able to communicate proficiently in Spanish and English required.
- Must be able to pass a background check with DCFS.
- One (1) of experience teaching in an Early Learning Center or Daycare setting required.
- Current First-Aid and CPR certification
- Knowledge of DCFS Rule 407 and NAEYC standards, preferred
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
