Duties
- Implement age-appropriate curricula that promote early literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional development tailored specifically for toddlers.
- Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods, sensory activities, and structured play to support childhood development milestones.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Provide attentive toddler care by monitoring health and safety protocols, assisting with diapering and feeding routines, and ensuring overall child welfare.
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support ongoing developmental goals through regular updates and parent-teacher conferences.
- Maintain detailed records of each child's growth, assessments, and individualized plans aligned with early intervention strategies when necessary.
- Uphold classroom management standards by organizing materials efficiently, supervising activities closely, and ensuring a clean, safe space for all children.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare settings or preschool environments is essential; familiarity with toddler care is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early intervention practices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that includes literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and sensory activities suitable for toddlers.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields such as special education or Montessori teaching is advantageous.
- Experience with classroom management tools, standardized testing procedures for early learners, and lesson planning software is desirable.
