Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions swiftly and efficiently
- Handle cash drawer management with precision, including cash handling and balancing at shift end
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed
- Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of store products and merchandising standards to assist customers effectively
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the sales floor is clean and inviting
- Demonstrate professional phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone
Requirements
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing cash drawers
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Ability to perform retail math calculations quickly and accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as sweeping and mopping.
