Position Summary
The Private Events Manager is responsible for driving private event revenue through
strategic sales outreach, relationship building, event execution, and operational leadership.
This role focuses heavily on maximizing lower-producing revenue days by generating high-
attendance events, cultivating corporate and community partnerships, and creating
memorable guest experiences aligned with the steakhouse’s luxury dining standards. The
ideal candidate is highly organized, sales-driven, hospitality-focused, and experienced in
both event coordination and high-volume restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Generation & Business Development
- Develop and execute strategies to increase private dining and event revenue, particularly
on historically lower-producing days and slower service periods.
- Prospect and secure corporate, social, nonprofit, and community event opportunities
through direct outreach, networking, and relationship management.
- Build partnerships with local businesses, hotels, convention groups, chambers of
commerce, and community organizations.
- Maintain an active pipeline of leads through cold calling, email campaigns, referrals, and
in-person networking.
- Create targeted promotions and packages to incentivize bookings during off-peak days and
seasons.
- Identify opportunities for recurring business including corporate dinners, holiday parties,
networking events, rehearsal dinners, fundraisers, wine dinners.

Event Planning & Execution
- Serve as the primary contact for all private event inquiries from initial lead through post-
event follow-up.
- Conduct site tours and present customized event proposals tailored to guest needs and
budgets.
- Coordinate all event logistics including menu selection, room layouts, AV requirements,
staffing needs, beverage packages, timelines, and execution details.
- Collaborate closely with culinary, beverage, and operations teams to ensure seamless
event execution.
- Maintain high-touch communication standards to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Operational Leadership
- Oversee private dining room operations during events to ensure service excellence and
brand consistency.
- Assist leadership in staffing plans for large events and peak business periods.
- Monitor labor, event profitability, and banquet costs to ensure revenue goals are achieved.
- Maintain detailed records of event performance, booking trends, and guest feedback.
- Work closely with management to forecast event revenue and identify growth
opportunities.
Marketing & Outreach Strategies
- Implement proactive outreach strategies to drive traffic and event bookings during slower
revenue periods.
- Utilize CRM tools, social media, email marketing, and community engagement to generate
leads.
- Coordinate seasonal campaigns and themed event initiatives.
- Represent the restaurant at networking functions, trade shows, and community events.
- Build relationships with event planners, executive assistants, hotel concierges, and local
influencers.
Cattlemen's Steakhouse
Qualifications
- 3+ years of private dining, catering sales, hospitality sales, or event management
experience preferred.
- Experience in a high-volume fine dining or upscale restaurant environment strongly
preferred.
- Proven track record of driving sales and increasing event revenue.
- Strong knowledge of banquet operations, food & beverage service, and luxury hospitality
standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in POS systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands
require.
Pay: $65,301.80 - $78,643.02 per year
