Duties
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product inquiries or demos
- Manage cash handling procedures with precision, including giving correct change and balancing registers
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance the customer shopping experience
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management through stocking, product demos, and merchandising tasks
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, retail sales, and merchandising practices is beneficial
