JOB DESCRIPTION
The Lead Technician is an experienced field technician who completes jobs according to SP Global DRT processes and provides hands-on direction to technicians on the job site. In addition to performing production work, the Lead Technician helps establish efficient job flow, ensures quality and safety standards are met, and serves as a point of guidance for the crew. Driving company vehicles to and between job sites is an essential, regular part of this role.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete jobs according to SP Global DRT processes per work order, performing and guiding production work.

Drive company vehicles to and between job sites safely and as an essential, regular function of this role.

Transport crew, tools, equipment, and materials to job sites and ensure vehicles are properly loaded and secured.

Perform and evaluate mitigation/restoration activities including water extraction, structural drying, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.

Establish efficient job flow, set up staging areas and equipment, and coordinate the requirements for each job.

Provide hands-on direction and real-time feedback to technicians on the job site.

Ensure crews follow processes and complete all work per the work order and scope.

Identify safety hazards, communicate them, and follow and enforce all safety procedures on the job site.

Complete and review accurate job file documentation, including photos and required readings.

Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and other technicians to maintain efficient production.

Perform end-of-day and end-of-job cleanup and breakdown, leaving the jobsite clean and orderly.

Resolve problems quickly as they arise and escalate concerns to the supervisor as needed.

Protect, properly use, and maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles, including routine vehicle checks.

Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment, warehouse, and office areas.

Support the development of technicians by demonstrating best practices and sharing knowledge.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma/GED required.

Prior fire/water/mold restoration or mitigation field experience preferred.

IICRC certifications preferred.

A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and approval by our insurance company are required, as driving is an essential function of this position.

Ability and willingness to drive to job sites daily and travel locally or out of state when necessary.

Ability to lead, direct, and provide constructive feedback to a crew on the job site.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Docusketch experience preferred.

Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

Must be able to work in person and drive to job sites as needed. Available for weekend and after-hours on-call rotation.

Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States and able to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequent driving to and between job sites is an essential function of this role.

Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Repetitive pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of objects throughout the day.

Walking and standing for long periods, as well as sitting and climbing.

Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights.
-
Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces under buildings and attics).

Exposure to chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise.

Occasional exposure to extreme conditions such as heat, cold, and noxious odors.

Required to occasionally wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE).

Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform demanding tasks throughout the day.

Salary: $18-$22 / hour, pending experience.
