Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and payers, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for medical services provided.
Duties -
Review and verify accuracy of billing and coding - Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Resolve billing issues and denials
- Utilize medical billing software to process claims
- Maintain patient billing records - Stay current on insurance guidelines and regulations
Requirements
- Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG coding systems
- Experience in medical billing, collections, and insurance claims processing - Knowledge of medical office procedures and practices
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems - Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
Part-time - Hybrid
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15-20 hours a week
