Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our team! This role is essential in providing support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life.
The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, patient care, and a strong understanding of the unique needs of those they support.
Duties:

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.

Provide personal care and support in a respectful and dignified manner.

Monitor clients' health by observing vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring adherence to prescribed routines.

Assist with medication administration as required, following HIPAA guidelines.

Engage clients in social activities and community integration to promote independence and social skills.

Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.

Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of assistive devices like Hoyer Lifts when necessary.

Document client progress and any incidents accurately in compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications

Valid NJ Non-Probationary Driver's License

High school diploma or equivalent

CPR/FA certification if completed

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in a group home setting preferred, but not required
