Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dishes to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining the flow of service during peak hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring proper food handling practices at all times.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality output.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
- Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Support catering events as required, ensuring all dietary needs are met.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in the food industry, preferably within a fine dining or catering environment.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including grills, fryers, ovens, and food processors.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
