Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant/Floater to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom activities, and providing individualized support to students, particularly those with special needs.
Duties
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
- Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities.
- Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Monitor student progress and behavior.
- Facilitate small group activities and provide one-on-one assistance to students.
- Prepare classroom materials and resources for daily lessons.
- Engage with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.
- Fill in wherever needed in any classroom
Skills
- First aid certification is preferred.
- Background in preschool education or early childhood education is preferred.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Previous experience with children in various settings such as daycare, toddler care, or babysitting.
- Classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an educational team.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
