Valley Burger Bar – Prep Cook / Prep Person
Position Summary
The Prep Person is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen organization, and supporting the cooking team to ensure efficient food production and high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vegetables, meats, sauces, and other ingredients according to recipes and portion standards.
- Wash, peel, chop, slice, and portion food items for daily service.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Stock and organize inventory, coolers, and storage areas.
- Follow food safety and health department regulations at all times.
- Label, date, and rotate food products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
- Assist cooks and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Monitor ingredient levels and notify management of shortages.
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain a clean work environment.
- Perform opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and food quality standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Valley Burger Bar – Grill Cook / Grill Person
Position Summary
The Grill Person is responsible for preparing burgers, sandwiches, and other menu items according to Valley Burger Bar standards while maintaining speed, accuracy, and food quality.
Responsibilities
- Cook burgers, chicken, and other menu items to company standards.
- Ensure food is prepared accurately and presented consistently.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to maintain food safety and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized grill station throughout the shift.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order completion.
- Restock grill station supplies and ingredients as needed.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Minimize food waste and maintain proper portion control.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when necessary.
- Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous grill, line cook, or restaurant experience preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of proper cooking temperatures and food handling procedures.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized under pressure.

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
