Position Summary
Supports the growth, quality, and impact of Student Success Center (SSC) Coaching programs by mentoring, coaching, and coordinating a team of SSC Coaches with a focus in a STEM and/or Writing. Serves as a communication bridge between SSC Coaches and program leadership; Leads observation, feedback, and evaluation efforts in support of accreditation and continuous improvement; ensures alignment with training expectations, equity-centered practices, and instructional best practices.
Essential Functions

Serves as a liaison between SSC Coach and Coordinators, assisting with session planning, troubleshooting, and Communicating team feedback. Meets regularly with program leadership to discuss challenges, identify solutions, and support a consistent, collaborative, and inclusive environment.

Provides advanced peer leadership by mentoring, coaching, and coordinating a team of 10-12 SSC Coaches. Supports Professional growth, reinforces program expectations, and fosters a culture of care, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Assists the SSC Coordinators with planning and facilitation of SSC Coach training prior to the start of each semester and during bi-weekly professional development meetings.
- Assists with the collection, analysis, and reporting of data associated with SSC coaching programs, including TracCloud usage, attendance trends, surveys, and documentation. Supports assessment, accreditation, and program improvement efforts.

Performs program-related clerical and administrative duties, including preparing reports, responding to emails, maintaining digital communication platforms and supporting marketing efforts such as flyers and session information postings.

Monitors TracCloud and other program systems to ensure accurate attendance tracking, documentation compliance, and equitable service delivery.

Provides SSC Coaching session coverage when coaches are unavailable and performs duties consistent with the SSC Coach job description, supporting students in STEM and/or writing as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Some college required

3.0 GPA or higher

Demonstrated strong academic standing at Brazosport College.

A minimum of two semesters of experience as an SSC Coach, Si Leader, or comparable peer education role. Experience supporting STEM and/or Writing coursework preferred.

Coursework content supported through SSC coaching assignments

Basic computer literacy and functional knowledge of Windows-based systems

Strong listening skills, Communication practices, professionalism, and the ability to support diverse learners.
