Job Summary
Join our vibrant café team as a Barista and Light Food Prep Specialist! Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages using espresso machines and POS systems such as Square POS
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about 0lplllll l l0products, and provide friendly, attentive service to enhance their experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS system, manage cash handling procedures, and perform cashiering duties with efficiency.
- Light food preparation including baked goods, and other café offerings while maintaining food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations, and equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Follow proper food handling procedures and adhere to all food safety regulations to ensure quality and compliance.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service while balancing multiple tasks seamlessly.
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista with strong coffee-making skills and familiarity with espresso machines.
- Experience with POS systems such as Square POS for sales transactions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently .
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to perform light food prep tasks accurately while maintaining cleanliness standards.
