Safety Lead – Manufacturing Safety & OSHA Compliance
JWF Industries is seeking an experienced Safety Lead to join our growing team.
The Safety Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing workplace health and safety programs across JWF Industries' manufacturing operations. This position focuses on promoting a culture of safety, ensuring OSHA compliance, reducing workplace risk, conducting safety training, investigating incidents, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
Candidates with experience in manufacturing safety, OSHA compliance, EHS management, risk assessment, safety audits, incident investigation, regulatory compliance, and occupational health and safety programs are encouraged to apply.
This is a full-time, in-person position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with off-shift hours as needed to support operations.

Essential Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Visit all facilities and production areas regularly to understand operations and identify safety risks.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections of personnel, equipment, materials, and work environments.
- Partner with Area Managers and leadership teams to identify, evaluate, and eliminate workplace hazards.
- Evaluate, assess, and improve company safety policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Analyze accident reports, injury trends, and incident metrics to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct incident investigations and support corrective and preventive action plans.
- Develop, prepare, and facilitate safety training programs for employees, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain required safety documentation, records, reports, and compliance programs.
- Communicate and collaborate with insurance providers, regulatory agencies, and governing bodies regarding safety matters.
- Track and report key safety performance indicators and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness, accountability, and employee engagement throughout the organization.
- Support company-wide occupational health and safety objectives while minimizing workplace risk.
Education Level
Bachelor's degree in Safety Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Industrial Safety, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of safety experience in a manufacturing, industrial, fabrication, or production environment required.
- Experience developing and implementing occupational health and safety programs preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, risk assessments, safety audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and analyzing safety metrics.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and report safety-related data while developing actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills required.
- High attention to detail and strong observational skills required.
- Experience delivering employee safety training and leading continuous improvement initiatives is preferred.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to have the ability to concentrate and perform responsibilities by maintaining a constant state of focus and mental alertness. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands (including gripping & grasping) and reach with arms. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee will frequently walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision requirements such as color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
The employee regularly works in office and manufacturing environments. While in production areas, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. There is frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts with occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold or heat. The employee may be exposed to electrical hazards and vibration. The noise level in production areas is usually loud.
