Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fire Sprinkler Technician / Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and installing commercial fire sprinkler systems while ensuring compliance with NFPA standards, local fire codes, and company safety requirements. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on commercial fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and local fire codes.
- Diagnose and repair deficiencies involving sprinkler piping, valves, heads, gauges, backflow devices, and related components.
- Conduct annual, quarterly, monthly, and five-year inspections as required.
- Perform hydrostatic testing, main drain testing, trip testing, and other required system tests.
- Install, replace, and repair sprinkler piping, heads, valves, and associated components.
- Replace damaged or outdated sprinkler components and restore systems to proper operating condition.
- Accurately document inspection results, service reports, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
- Communicate inspection findings and repair recommendations to customers in a professional manner.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle in a clean and organized condition.
- Follow OSHA safety requirements and company safety policies at all times.
- Respond to emergency service calls and after-hours requests when scheduled.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete service and installation projects efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- 2+ years of commercial fire sprinkler service or installation experience.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 25, and applicable local fire codes.
- Experience servicing and installing
- Wet systems
- Dry systems
- Pre-action systems
- Deluge systems
- Standpipe systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, piping diagrams, and hydraulic calculations.
- Backflow certification.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to lift, carry, and work with tools, ladders, and materials in various environments.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
