Principal Function
The Preschool Director is responsible to the Director of Ministry Operations for planning, implementing, and evaluating the preschool program of the Church.

Qualifications
· The director shall be a Christian and be an active member of Revive Church, experienced in preschool work and have strong administrative experience and abilities.
· Has an exemplary Christian lifestyle
· Actively participates in the life of Revive Church & Academy (i.e. Fall Festival, Eggsstravaganza & ect.).
· Has a love for children from all cultural backgrounds.
· Must be a team player.
· Has excellent communication skills.
· Must have all mandated DCF hours.
· Shall have state required certification.
· Maintain continuing education as required by law and Revive Church & Preschool.
· Must have Director’s Credentials with VPK endorsement.
· The director shall have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a lead preschool teacher or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in childcare administration and training of other employees, both in accredited preschool facility.
· 20 hrs – Intro to childcare.
· 10 hrs – Preschool appropriate practices.
· 10 hrs – Behavioral Observation & Screening.
· 10 hrs – Special needs child.
· 5 hrs – Early literacy.
· Must pass background screening & drug test.
· Must have a valid Florida driver’s license.
Preferred
· B.S. or B.A. in elementary or childhood education or similar training.
Administration
· Directs weekday operations.
· Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises employees with input from the Director of Ministry Operations and the lead Pastor.
· Provide appropriate Christian teaching curriculum and review lesson plans.
· Conduct or supervise weekly chapel services
· Analyze, plan, and direct effective education space use.
· Conduct monthly staff meetings to include the Director of Ministry Operations.
· Publish monthly calendar.
· Maintain attendance charts.
· Ensure proper maintenance of all indoor and outdoor equipment (i.e. security and safety)
· Maintain a good relationship between the Church, parents, and the preschool.
· Comply with all laws concerning childcare (i.e. licenses, inspections).
· Maintain an inventory of necessary supplies.
· Collect & record student tuition
· Turn in weekly timecards (they must be signed) and run any needed payroll reports. This information will go to the Director of Ministry Operations.
