Position Summary
VidaWell Care is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to carry out treatment plans established by our supervising Occupational Therapists for home health patients throughout Miami-Dade County. The ideal candidate is patient-centered, dependable, and comfortable working independently in patients' homes while staying closely coordinated with the OT and broader care team.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising OT to improve patients' functional independence with ADLs/IADLs
- Provide in-home occupational therapy services under OT supervision, in accordance with Florida practice guidelines
- Assist with home safety assessments and reinforce use of adaptive equipment
- Track and report patient progress to the supervising OT
- Collaborate with RNs, PTs, and other members of the care team to coordinate patient care
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in compliance with Medicare/Medicaid and AHCA regulations
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and families
Qualifications
- Current Florida OTA license in good standing
- Home health experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance
- Strong communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible visit schedule
- CPR certification
