Job Title: Day Sleep Technician
Reports To: Sleep Lab Manager
Employment Type: Part-time 2 x per week -12 hour shifts
Position Summary
As a Day Sleep Technician, you will perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis. Key responsibilities to include preparing patients for sleep studies, applying electrodes and sensors, monitoring sleep patterns, and supporting therapeutic interventions. This position is located at our Plymouth location. This position is not eligible for benefits.
Pay Ranges $32-45 per hour depending upon your years of experience.
Sign-On Bonus: This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Employees receive the first half after 45 days of continuous employment and the second half after 90 days of continuous employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review patients history, physical information, medications, procedure requests
- Complete and verify sleep study documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Explain sleep study procedures to patients and orient them to the sleep center environment.
- Apply electrodes and sensors in accordance with American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) standards and protocols.
- Perform physiologic calibrations, troubleshoot signal issues, and adjust as needed.
- Follow established protocols for sleep studies, including CPAP titration, baseline polysomnography (PSG), and adaptive servo-ventilation (ASV) titrations.
- Monitor study tracings and acquire polysomnographic data while maintaining artifact-free signals.
- Document routine observations, sleep staging, clinical events, and other significant information to support scoring and interpretation.
- Implement appropriate interventions for patient safety and therapeutic care, including PAP therapy and oxygen administration.
- Score sleep and wake stages, clinical events, and related parameters according to AASM guidelines.
- Prepare reports, maintain records, and deliver results as needed.
- Troubleshoot equipment and software issues.
- Maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards.
- Perform routine and advanced equipment care, maintenance, and cleaning.
- Record charges accurately for billing purposes.
- Complete required continuing education to maintain credentialing and current CPR certification.
Education and Qualifications·
- Current RPSGT credential.·
- Current CPR certification.·
- Sound judgment and the ability to respond appropriately in emergency medical situations.

- Transcutaneous Continuous Monitoring (TCM).
