Overview
Leads initiation, planning, execution, and closure of projects delivering new capabilities in the SOCOM Information Environment (SIE). Monitors and reports project performance, budget, and schedule for HQ, Component, TSOC, and/or deployed-force efforts.
Essential duties
- Lead complex SIE projects from initiation through transition to operations
- Monitor, adjust, and report performance, budget, and schedule
- Align project execution to USSOCOM HQ / Component / TSOC priorities
- Apply and improve project management best practices
- Coordinate multi-discipline stakeholders; support IPRs and status reporting
- Mentor mid-level Project Managers as assigned
Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree
- Substitution: Relevant experience performing SOW §§3.1 and 3.4 functions for a Government agency in lieu of formal education
Years of experience (recommended)
- 8–12+ years IT/project management in DoD environments
- 3+ years leading projects of similar size/complexity to SIE capability delivery

Full project lifecycle (initiation closure

- Schedule, cost, risk, and stakeholder management
- USSOCOM / SOF IT environment familiarity preferred
- Briefing and documentation for senior Government customers
- MS Project / Project Online or equivalent; SharePoint
Certifications
- Required: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
Security & other requirements
- Active TOP SECRET; TS/SCI preferred
- On-site; travel as approved
