Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting asphalt materials and equipment driving various types of trucks.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate different types of trucks including tractor-trailer, dump truck, and flatbed.
- Transport and deliver asphalt or materials to specified locations in a timely manner.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns before and after trips.
- Follow all relevant traffic laws and company regulations.
- Maintain accurate driving logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and coworkers.
- Operate fuel cards and keep receipts for reports.
Experience:
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Experience in handling various types of freight.
- Familiarity with local routes and geographical areas.
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to load and unload cargo efficiently.
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus.
