Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and construction, demonstrating expertise in various techniques and materials. As a Lead Carpenter, you will oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for guiding and coordinating tasks on the construction site.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Lead and manage carpentry projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Perform various carpentry tasks including framing, caulking, drywall, tile, LVP flooring, painting, and masonry work.
- Build structures such as walls and other frameworks using wood and other materials.
- Restore existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged components as necessary.
- Supervise and mentor junior carpenters, providing guidance on best practices and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized construction site while adhering to safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Good interpersonal communication skills with customers and co-workers.
- Proficiency and understanding construction plans.
- Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team on-site.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- A commitment to maintaining high safety standards on the job site.
