We are looking for Welders / Fabricators to join a busy Fabrication company in Torrance. You will be working with carbon steel and alloy tube sheets, tube caps, and heat exchanger shells as well as doing general fabrication. This is a Monday to Friday position with overtime and weekends.
- MORNING SHIFT: M-F 7:00 AM TO 3:30 PM
Description:
- Perform gouging and stick (SMAW with and without flux, and flux-cored rods), MIG, TIG Welding.
- Use grinders, sanders, press brakes, and other fabrication machinery.
- Grinding and/or cleaning of welds, keeping the workplace in an orderly fashion, cleaning up, and abiding by safe work practices.
- Inspects welding leads, electrode holders, insulation, and grounding.
- Move, cut, bend, and reposition materials and sheet metal. Use the Forklift and the overhead crane
Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of experience with: stick (with and without flux, and flux-cored rods), MIG, TIG, gas tungsten arc, sub-arc, and submerged arc.
- Experience operating fabrication tools and machinery.
- Must be willing to abide by shop safe work, job set up and clean up practices.
- The job often requires standing for extended periods of time, the ability to push/pull, crawl, climb, and avoid electrical hazards and normal shop hazards.
