Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Teacher to inspire and guide our early learners. In this vital role, you will design and implement dynamic curricula, support children’s developmental milestones, and foster a positive classroom atmosphere. Your leadership will ensure that each child receives personalized attention, promotes inclusive learning experiences, and benefits from a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and growth. Communicate with parents and shows positive approach toward students, parents and colleges.
Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, communication skills, and social-emotional development.
- Lead classroom activities that incorporate educational technology integration, Montessori methods, or other innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.
- Support children with diverse needs by applying behavior management techniques for students with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders.
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and specialists to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ensure compliance with special education law.
- Manage classroom behavior proactively through positive reinforcement and behavioral health strategies to create a safe, inclusive space for all students.
- Mentor assistant teachers and student interns, providing guidance on curriculum development, classroom management, and best practices in early childhood education.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, assessments, and IEP goals while ensuring adherence to licensing requirements.
Requirements
- Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or preschool settings; private school or Montessori experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, special education practices, and behavioral therapy techniques.
- Familiarity with speech therapy concepts, literacy education, math instruction, and standardized testing procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with children, families, colleagues, and external specialists.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively while implementing behavior management strategies for students with disabilities or developmental delays.
- Certification or training in early intervention services or working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders preferred.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports children with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- CDA and First Aid.
