Job Overview
The Customer Order Coordinator is responsible for accurately processing customer orders and providing exceptional customer support throughout the order fulfillment process. This role works closely with Production Control, Purchasing, and Engineering to ensure order accuracy, communicate engineering revisions, and resolve customer inquiries related to order status, delivery schedules, and past-due orders.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Process and maintain customer orders accurately and efficiently within the ERP system including order entry, filing, and acknowledgment.
· Review customer orders for accuracy and coordinate with Engineering to resolve issues such as revision changes, price breaks, and expired quotes.
· Serve as a Point of Contact for customer inquiries regarding order status, delivery, and past-due orders.
· Coordinate with production control to monitor order progress and communicate updates to customers.
· Work closely with Purchasing on material availability issues that may impact customer orders.
· Review customer forecasts and advanced planning information through various customer portals
· Respond promptly and professionally to customer emails and phone calls.
· Provide other administrative support as assigned
· May participate in weekly production meetings
· Other duties as assigned

Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn ERP systems and customer portals
Education and/or Experience
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
Personal Protective Equipment Requirements (as needed):
- Safety Glasses – ANSI Z87 with side shields everywhere in the plant
- Sturdy Work Shoes – hard sole / leather uppers (no tennis shoes unless designated to meet OSHA safety standards)
