The Narrow Lane Landscaping Company (TNLC) is a full service design and build residential landscaping company. We create greener pastures for our clients and our employees. TNLC provides high quality garden and landscape care through all four seasons. We are looking for a fine gardener to join our team in the Needham office.
Role:
Fine gardener responsible for regular garden maintenance including pruning, dead heading, cut backs, fertilizer application, friendly client relationships when on site, and active communication with team leaders.
Gardeners will record their hours, materials used, before and after images of garden sites, and be responsible for clean garden maintenance and client satisfaction.
Experience:
Minimum 2 seasons of experience doing active outdoor manual labor.
Minimum 2 seasons of experience in residential landscape maintenance.
Strong preference for experience in fine gardening and/or horticultural education.
Clear understanding of plant growth through seasons, methods of plant identification, attention to detail, ability to take notes and ask questions.
Strong preference for knowledge of New England woody, perennial and annual plants and their cultivation.
Strong preference for knowledge of proper pruning practices.
Crew management experience is a plus.
Crew training experience is a plus.
Requirements
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Physical ability to work throughout a full day, taking regular breaks
Valid drivers license and ability to drive to central location
