Qualifications

The Staffing Coordinator/Central Supply is responsible for ensuring proper staffing levels to meet the occupational needs of the facility as well as maintaining appropriate levels of nursing supplies throughout the facility. The role includes scheduling staff, managing call-outs, maintaining compliance with staffing regulations, and communicating with department heads to ensure optimal workforce coverage. The Staffing Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining continuity of care and supporting a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage employee schedules for nursing and support staff based on patient and staffing ratios
- Keep supplies stocked on the floor
- Order supplies regularly from vendors as needed
- Track spend and stay within specified budget
- Monitor daily staffing levels and adjust as needed for call-ins, vacation, or unexpected absences.
- Coordinate with department heads and supervisors to ensure coverage needs are met
- Communicate shift changes, open shifts, and staffing issues to appropriate personnel
- Track and report staffing trends, shortages, and overtime hours to management
- Assist in on-boarding of new staff including scheduling orientation and shift assignments
- Provide excellent customer service to staff and residents while promoting a positive team culture
- Schedule interviews and being part of interview process
- Preferred at least 1-2 years expirence as Staffing Coordinator
