Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and proactive Food Service Assistant to join our hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Assist with cleaning and sanitation of dining areas, kitchens, and service stations to uphold hygiene standards.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and preparing them for new guests.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, ensuring safe lifting practices at all times.
- Contribute to food service by serving meals, beverages, and assisting with food handling procedures.
- Maintain effective internal communication with team members to coordinate service smoothly.
- Help with table setting and ensuring all areas are presentable for guest comfort.
- Follow food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cleaning, sanitation, and food handling practices within the food industry.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices.
- Experience in catering or hotel environments is a plus but not essential.
- A proactive attitude with excellent customer service skills to enhance guest experiences.
- Willingness to learn about food safety standards, table setting, and restaurant operations.
