Linear Precision Grinder – $30-$50/hr Based on Experience

Ardent Staffing is seeking an experienced Linear Precision Grinder to join a growing manufacturing team in Shrewsbury, MA. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist with hands-on precision grinding experience who takes pride in producing high-quality components used in advanced motion systems.
The successful candidate will have experience operating precision grinding equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and producing tight-tolerance parts for prototype and low-volume production environments.
Pay Range: $30-$50 per hour, based on experience and skill level
Position Responsibilities:

Perform precision surface grinding on complex components using Okamoto grinders.
*
Produce prototype and low-volume production parts while maintaining strict dimensional and flatness tolerances.
*
Set up, operate, and adjust grinding equipment to meet engineering specifications.
*
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
*
Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools.
*
Ensure all components meet quality standards and customer specifications.
*
Troubleshoot machining and grinding processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
*
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following 5S and lean manufacturing practices.
*
Work independently while managing priorities to meet production schedules.
Qualifications:
*
High school diploma or GED required.
*
Hands-on experience with precision grinding, machining, or related manufacturing processes.
*
Strong understanding of grinding fundamentals and machining practices.
*
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
*
Experience using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
*
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
*
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
*
Experience with prototype, custom, or low-volume manufacturing is highly preferred.
Additional Requirements:

Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected individual status as defined by applicable regulations).
*
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
