Title: Programmer Analyst VI – Salesforce Developer
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid)
Note: This is a W2 contract role – C2C, 1099, and 3rd party candidates will NOT be considered
As a Salesforce Developer, you’ll be comfortable with the development, design, and implementation of customizable solutions within Salesforce. In this role, the Salesforce Developer will;
· Work with colleagues, customers, and end users to define technical requirements for new projects and any future enhancements
· Ensure that the technical requirements tie back to the established customer requirements and performance goals and that the technical direction is consistent with the client's long-term strategy
· Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code
· Maintain overall technical responsibility for the technical aspects of the project environments
· Compile internal development guidelines/standards for the development team and ensure the team is following those standards
· Collaborate with Developers for other systems in order to integrate across the business
· Ensure that proposed solutions adhere to security guidelines and standards throughout the application lifecycle
· Deliver business value by leveraging technology and an ability to communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level, being a trusted voice at the decision-making table
· Devise training plans for the development team for a smooth and successful transition to Maintenance & Operations
· Maintain ownership of all end-to-end technical aspects of a Salesforce.com program, including data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, 3rd party applications, AppExchange products, and custom development
· Define, communicate, and manage technical change management (e.g., release) processes for all Salesforce technology efforts
· Assess Salesforce.com architecture and provide secure, high-performance technical solutions on the Force.com platform
· Design and document technical architecture solutions that span multiple platforms and include integration and authentication across systems
· Support SFDX development, branch management, merging, and code deployment activities using Azure DevOps build CI/CD process
· Identify risks and issues from a technical perspective
Position Qualifications:
· 6+ years of demonstrated, hands-on development experience with Salesforce, including SFDX and the Salesforce Development Lifecycle
· 5+ years of experience working with Service Cloud
· 5+ years of experience working with Salesforce Digital Experience Sites
· 5+ years of experience with GoMeddo Scheduling customization, or equivalent experience with similar scheduling products
· 5+ years of experience with Conga Composer
· 4+ years of experience developing within the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura, HTML5, and JavaScript
· 3+ years of hands on experience with Salesforce Lightning, including LWC
· Strong experience in migrating from Classic to Lightning, and experience migrating Legacy Visualforce Portals to Digital Experience Sites
· Strong knowledge and working experience in Service Cloud and Experience Cloud
· Experience participating in each phase of full Salesforce.com lifecycle implementations
· In-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of Salesforce
· Strong hands-on experience in writing Apex programming, Visual force pages, Apex triggers, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components
· Knowledge in implementing solutions using configurations (no-code), such as Flows, process builders, and workflow rules, etc.
· Experience working with Technical Managers, Architects, and business stakeholders in gathering requirements and driving teams to implement technical solutions
· Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with cloud-based applications and on-premises applications using standard and custom REST APIs
· Experience with core web technologies, including HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.)
· Hands-on experience in implementing various authentication protocols (oAuth) to integrate 3rd party applications
· Demonstrated successful experience in the implementation of Batch Apex and/or Schedule Apex development
· Familiarity with governmental processes and compliance, including prior experience working with FedRAMP-compliant tools and environments, preferred
· A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field required; Salesforce Certified Platform Developer or Salesforce Cloud Certification(s) preferred
