Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailers with a focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Drive a variety of trucks including sand trailers, flatbeds, tankers to deliver freight to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and ensuring proper handling of freight.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Follow planned routes diligently while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules to meet deadlines.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations.
- Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles
- Experience handling sand , flatbed loads, tankers, preferred.
- Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements for commercial driving.
