Description Summary:
Seeking an experienced working foreman to lead a rigging and machinery-installation crew. You’ll be on job sites every day - running the crew, loading, lifting, moving, and setting heavy equipment.
Our work is primarily in the local and regional area - not the type of long-term, out-of-state travel done by large contractors. You’ll travel to different customer sites as needed, mostly doing day-work and may include overnight travel stay(s) to the site.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a crew on machinery-moving, rigging, and installation jobs
- Work hands-on with forklifts, cranes, skates, jacks, and rigging gear
- Plan lifts, give direction, and make sure work is done safely
- Load, move, set, and align machines and equipment
- Read and follow lift plans, drawings, and layouts
- Fill out basic job paperwork and talk with customers as needed
- Travel to different job sites when required
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- 1–3 years rigging, machinery moving, or machinery installation experience
- 2+ years experience in leading a crew or working as a foreman in rigging, machinery moving or machinery installation is required
- Able to read simple drawings and lift plans
- Willing to travel, work overtime, and weekends when needed
