We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Estate Planning Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in drafting, reviewing, and managing estate planning and Surrogate's Court documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives. and petitions for letters testamentary and administration.
- Manage case files using document management systems to ensure all materials are organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
- Coordinate client interviews and gather necessary information through effective interviewing techniques to facilitate accuracy.
- Support procedural law compliance by preparing filings, managing deadlines, and maintaining meticulous records for court submissions.
- Handle confidential client information with integrity.
- Collaborate with team members on project management tasks to ensure timely delivery of estate planning services while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Assist with document review, drafting legal correspondence, and supporting litigation or probate proceedings as needed.
- Provide excellent client communication via phone or email, ensuring clarity and professionalism at all times.
Skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Exceptional written communication skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with clients or courts.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for daily tasks; familiarity with PCLaw is a plus.
- Effective interviewing techniques to gather detailed client information efficiently.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Strong attention to detail combined with analytical thinking necessary for complex legal research and document review.
- Experience providing executive administrative support within a busy legal practice environment is advantageous.
