Inside Out Tours is seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Virtual Tour Guide to lead interactive online experiences focused on Black history, culture, heritage, and achievement.
The ideal candidate has previous experience conducting virtual tours, online educational programs, webinars, or live digital presentations. This role requires strong storytelling skills, confidence on camera, reliable technology, and the ability to connect with corporate teams, schools, community organizations, and other audiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead live virtual tours using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar platforms
- Present stories related to Black history, heritage, culture, and achievement
- Engage participants through storytelling, multimedia, trivia, and guided discussion
- Create a welcoming and interactive experience for diverse audiences
- Follow established tour scripts while presenting the material naturally
- Participate in training, rehearsals, and periodic content updates
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues during virtual programs
- Represent our company professionally during every event
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading virtual tours, webinars, online classes, or live digital programs
- Strong public-speaking and storytelling skills
- Comfortable and confident presenting on camera
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Quiet, professional, and well-lit space for conducting tours
- Working computer, webcam, microphone, and headphones
- Comfortable using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, videos, and screen-sharing tools
- Dependable, organized, and able to follow detailed program materials
- Available for occasional daytime, evening, or weekend programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of African American history, Black culture, social justice, or related subjects
- Experience presenting to corporate groups, employee resource groups, schools, museums, or community organizations
- Background in history, education, theater, museum studies, tourism, or cultural programming
- Experience facilitating discussions and responding thoughtfully to audience questions
- Additional language skills are a plus
