American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week Days assignment requiring RDCS certification and at least 5 years of experience with TEE, TTE, and Stress echo.

Position within the Echocardiology department

5 8-hour day shifts Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
-
Possible Saturday rotation with staff as needed
-
Uses Philips ultrasound equipment
-
Uses Lumason imaging agent for bubble studies
-
EMR system is Epic
-
Potential to extend the assignment through September

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer required
-
Associate's degree in radiology or equivalent certification required
-
RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
-
Current BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
-
ACLS certification preferred
-
Proficiency in TEE, TTE, and Stress echo required
-
Experience with M-Mode, 2-D, color, and Doppler imaging required

Epic charting experience preferred
-
IV start capability preferred
-
License required if applicable

Responsible for operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment and scanning patients in all aspects of cardiac imaging including exercise testing and TEE

Reports to the Supervisor Cardiac Sonographer

Operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures

Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions

Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the Boston facility to qualify for the standard rate
