Responsibilities
- Safely transport food from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing under chef supervision.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently by bussing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and maintaining a tidy dining area.
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving large trays or boxes of supplies, adhering to proper lifting practices.
- Support the serving staff by delivering beverages, condiments, or additional food items promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness in food running areas by cleaning utensils, trays, and workstations regularly.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate timely service delivery.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; banquet or culinary experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as TOAST or similar platforms for order accuracy.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while practicing safe lifting techniques.
- Experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality roles that require in-person customer interaction.
- Knowledge of food preparation processes and kitchen operations enhances overall service quality.
