Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retirement Home Manager/Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of a senior living facility dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to residents. Duties
- Manage all aspects of facility operations, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with long-term care regulations.
- Supervise care teams, including all location staff, ensuring high standards of resident care and staff performance.
- Oversee medication administration processes in accordance with healthcare policies and safety protocols.
- Maintain strong relationships with residents’ families by providing regular updates on care plans and addressing concerns promptly.
- Ensure the facility adheres to health regulation policies and maintains accreditation standards through rigorous audits.
- Utilize healthcare financial management skills to oversee budgets, manage resources efficiently, and optimize operational costs.
- Lead initiatives in disability services and home & community care programs to enhance resident independence and quality of life.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate seamless medical services for residents.
- Promote a positive work environment by supervising staff development, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering leadership within the team.
Skills
- Extensive experience in nursing home administration or senior living facility management with a focus on long-term care.
- Proven leadership skills in supervising multidisciplinary teams within residential or healthcare settings.
- Deep knowledge of long-term care regulations, health policy compliance, and assisted living standards.
- Strong background in managing care facility operations.
- Proficiency in documentation, reporting, scheduling, and communication purposes.
- Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to residents’ unique needs while ensuring medication safety protocols are followed.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with residents’ families, staff members, healthcare providers, and regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives that improve resident outcomes and operational efficiency in a senior living environment.
