Job Summary – Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO)
We are seeking experienced and highly motivated Mortgage Loan Originators to join our
growing lending team. The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional with a strong
understanding of mortgage products, a proven ability to build and manage a loan pipeline,
and a commitment to delivering exceptional borrower experiences from application to
closing.
As an MLO, you will be responsible for sourcing, originating, and managing residential
mortgage loans while ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines.
This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess in-depth
mortgage knowledge, and bring an established network of referral partners or an existing
book of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, cultivate, and maintain a robust pipeline of residential mortgage loan
opportunities.
- Identify borrower needs and recommend appropriate loan programs, including
Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, and Non-QM.
- Collect and analyze borrower financial information to ensure product suitability and
guideline alignment.
- Guide borrowers through the entire mortgage process with professionalism and
clear communication.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, financial
planners, and past clients.
- Stay current with underwriting guidelines, market trends, interest rates, and
regulatory changes.
- Ensure all files meet compliance standards and are submitted accurately and on
time.
- Actively participate in business development and marketing activities to increase
loan volume.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Active NMLS license (required).
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator.
Strong Understanding of:
- Conventional loan guidelines (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac)
- Government lending (FHA, VA, USDA)
- Jumbo products and Non-QM/DSCR programs
- Down payment assistance programs (preferred)
Proven ability to manage and convert a loan pipeline.
Existing referral network or existing pipeline of active borrowers (strongly
preferred).
Ability to read and interpret income docs including W2, pay stubs, tax returns, and
self-employed financials.
Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with LOS systems, CRM platforms, and digital mortgage tools.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
