Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food, cocktails, spirits, and beverages efficiently while maintaining proper presentation standards
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Upsell menu items and drink specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine selections, cocktails, and menu options to elevate the guest experience
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience, including fine dining preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and sanitation standards
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for processing transactions and splitting bills
- Experience with cocktail making, spirits knowledge, wine pairing, and beverage service is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items and enhance guest relations through attentive service
